Speaker For The Dead

Who will speak for me?

Whose voice will rise above the silence of embarrassment
and tell the world of the life I’ve lead.
Of the laughter, the tears, the hope, the fears,
of all the memories we’ve shared.

Who will tell of how they first met me
of the private moments we may have dared
The good, the bad, the happy the sad
and all of the friends for whom I’ve cared.

As my ashes drift where they’ve been willed
and before my memory begins to fade
who will remind you all of all I was
and raise a glass to the memories we made

I wonder who will speak for me?
